Every episode of Adventure All Stars features new authentic cast members traveling to spectacular locations as they uncover the best and most exciting experiences on the planet!
Adventure All Stars seasons one and two are currently available in Australia via 7PLUS, Fetch, and Samsung TV Plus. In addition, Adventure All Stars screens in 25 countries to an audience approaching 100 million people. International broadcast partners include Outdoor Channel, TVNZ, and Tata Sky.
49 episodes of Adventure All-Stars have now been produced, and the amount fundraised since the inception of this TV format is approaching $10 million, making Adventure All Stars the biggest contributor to a philanthropy of any TV show in Australia and one of the biggest providers to a charity of any TV series on the planet.
This year philanthropist and mother Nissy Nassif will join the challenge.
Nissy is trading her stilettos for hiking boots on the new season of Adventure All Stars. Wanting to bring awareness to the mental health challenges her son and many Australians with ADHD face, she is getting her hands dirty (literally) to raise funds for this great cause.
I had the absolute pleasure of having a chat with Nissy ahead of the show’s premier.
Congratulation on appearing on the next season of Adventure All-Stars! How did you become involved with the show, and what made you want to jump in and participate?
I received an email from the producers of Adventure All Stars wanting me to be a contestant on the show. I quickly did the research and I discovered the nature of the show is firstly about raising funds for some amazing charities around Australia helping many worthy causes and families. I have been a philanthropist for the last 8 years and have been helping families in need throughout Australia and around the world, mainly suffering financially due to health deficiencies.
Secondly, what got me really excited is the fact that we all get to go on an adventure and discover an unknown destination in Australia, where we get to do exciting activities outside our comfort zone.
What was the goal going in?
Firstly, to help and support and raise funds for two amazing charities. I will be raising funds for ADHD Australia, simply because I understand how difficult it is to support and care for children suffering from ADHD, as it’s close to my heart, as I’ve been down this road with my own 7-year-old son and it has been very difficult.
I will also be supporting the Heart Support Australia organisation. Unfortunately, poor heart health is a pressing issue in Australia, with 50 people losing their lives daily to coronary heart disease, Australia’s biggest killer. As such, I believe it’s extremely important to raise awareness for good heart health, not only as a humanitarian, but as someone who lost their grandfather to a heart attack when he was just 50.
I want to be a role model firstly for my own children teaching them the spirit of both philanthropy and courage. Additionally, I’m really excited to discover a new destination in Australia and dare to do challenging activities.
What do you hope viewers will learn from watching your experience?
I want to inspire them to always help charities and people in need at any given opportunity and to dare to challenge themselves and get out of their comfort zone. It’s important to be open to surprises because life is always challenging us and surprising us in many ways.
Describe the experience in 3 words
Daring, exciting, and rewarding.
When does it all start so we can watch your journey?
We commence filming on the 30th of July, so stay tuned for exciting episodes to air on 7Plus. I cannot tell you what to expect because the location and experiences are all a surprise.
