As restrictions begin to ease and we look forward to catching up with friends, a delicious favourtie opens its doors in a brand new location.
Everyone’s favourite smoothie hotspot Green Cup, opens its third store in the bustling Glenferrie Road,
Hawthorn.
Melburnians have just been given another reason to step outside, with popular smoothie and acai bowl health hub, Green Cup opening a new store in Hawthorn. The company’s third venture is located on Glenferrie Road and is a positively exciting addition to the area.
The new Hawthorn store has the same sleek look, feel and menu as its siblings however brings exciting new features including a new pale eucalypt colour palette splashed throughout the venue’s decor and furniture. For the first time, Green Cup will also welcome a coffee machine, giving consumers every excuse to stop by for a coffee; whether it be a regular cappuccino, almond flat white, matcha, turmeric or chai latte, Green Cup have you covered for your everyday morning commute.
“We’re really excited to open our third store in Hawthorn, it’s something our customers and followers have been asking us to do for some time. The Glenferrie Road strip has really been lacking a convenient and healthy option,” said Green Cup co-owner Natalie Guest.
Green Cup first opened its doors in 2014 on Chapel St South Yarra, when owners Natalie and Simon Guest saw a gap in the market for quite simply, a good smoothie. Nat would often start her day making a smoothie at home and after realising how good it made her feel, she wanted to share her recipe with her friends, and decided to create a business.
The brand grew rapidly in a year and Green Cup expanded in 2015, opening its second store in Armadale. The High St hotspot alongside the South Yarra store are not only recognised for delicious smoothies but also their famous Acai Bowls, House Made Peanut Butter and Smashed Avo, with new specials featuring each month as well as seasonal items such as Superfood Porridge and Vegan Toasties which appear in the cooler months. With COVID-19 restrictions easing again, Green Cup has taken steps to bring their stores back to normal while keeping social distancing in mind.
The stores are continuing to abide by Government regulations, with furniture 1.5m apart enabling smoothie lovers to still stop by for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a late arvo snack. Opening hours will return to normal while consumers can now wait indoors for their order as winter approaches. The new store has 10 seats indoors and eight outdoors but for now, they will continue to play by the rules until restrictions are eased once again.
Green Cup is an essential item in everyone’s daily life and is never far away.
