Celebrate World Whisky Day with the world’s biggest virtual whisky tasting thanks to Jonnhie Walker & Dan Murphy’s

Johnnie Walker has joined forces with Dan Murphy’ s to launch the world’s biggest virtual whisky tasting.

Held 7pm, this Saturday 16 May in celebration of World Whisky Day, the fun and interactive session will be hosted on Dan Murphy’s Facebook page via a Live Broadcast, encouraging Australian whisky fans to break the Guiness World Record.

Katie Nagar and Krystal Hart, Johnnie Walker Brand Ambassadors, will host the virtual tasting event, treating participants to a guided tasting of Johnnie Walker’s expertly distilled whiskies, perfect food pairings, and exciting giveaways.

“We are delighted to be celebrating World Whisky Day in such a big way for 2020, bringing together whisky fans from Australia and beyond to attempt to break a Guinness World Record!”

In addition, Dan Murphy’s is offering exclusive offers on Johnnie Walker for those who are ‘My Dan’s’ members at danmurphys.com.au (membership is free).

The world’s largest virtual whisky tasting will take place on 16th May from 7-7.30pm, via Dan Murphy’s Facebook page. *Participants must be over 18.

• Johnnie & Lemon Highball: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Lemon Barley, Soda

1. Pour 30mL Johnnie Walker Red or Black Label
2. Add 30mL Lemon Barley Cordial
3. Top with 120mL of soda water
4. Fill highball glass with lots of ice
5. Garnish with lemon wedge

Approx. 1 Standard Drink

• Johnnie & Ginger Highball: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Dry Ginger Ale

1. Pour 30mL Johnnie Walker Red or Black Label
2. Top with 150mL Ginger Ale
3. Fill highball glass with lots of ice
4. Garnish with lemon wedge

• Johnnie & Crisp Apple Highball: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Apple Kombucha, Apple Juice

3. Top with 90mL Remedy Apple Kombucha
4. Fill highball glass with lots of ice
5. Garnish with lime or apple wedge

• Johnnie & Blood Orange Highball: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Pimm’s, Agrum Blood Orange

1. Pour 30mL Johnnie Walker Red or Black Label
2. Add 15mL Pimm’s No.1
3. Top with 120mL Schweppes Agrum
4. Fill highball glass with lots of ice
5. Garnish with orange wedge
