For one night only hospitality heavyweights are coming together to bring one unforgettable evening and raise funds for those who need it the most.
Devastated and helpless, Founder and Owner of Canvas House, Nash Teelow and chef Ian Curley have decided to do what they do best – throw one hell of a fundraising event: Gather for Good.
As expected, it didn’t take long for the hospitality industry to band together: one text message and 12 hours later, the pair has rallied a star-studded line up of industry icons to man the kitchen – Ian Curley himself, Karen Martini, Guy Grossi, Ash Hicks, Guy Stanaway, Chris Bonello, Ben Cooper, Zac Skyes and Jacqui Challinor with the list still growing, In a combined effort between Teelow and Curley, the event brings together all hospitality and event heavy hitters for relief efforts in the wake of the Australian bushfires.
“Once Ian was onboard, I knew it would be a snowball effect from there. We have had every major industry leader on board, from chefs to suppliers and brands. There has no shortage of goodwill and support for a common cause.” said Teelow.
The event will raise funds through ticket sales and silent auction items donated from Sandhill Road, private dinners by executive chefs at Mya Tiger, The Espy and French Saloon with Ian himself.
Hospitality cannot survive without the land, agriculture and farmers. Needless to say, their community is hurting and support for local producers is important now more than ever.
Taking place Saturday, 22 February from 7pm, The Gather for Good’ – Bushfire Disaster Appeal Fundraising Benefit is a one-off event to support Bushfire relief efforts. 100% of proceeds will be donated directly to the Victoria Bushfire Disaster appeal, who ensure that 100% of donated funds go directly to communities in need, 100% of all goods and services donated via event partners.
Participation in the silent auction isn’t limited to those in attendance at the event. Items will also be available for remote bidding which will be made know via the Canvas House social channels in the coming weeks.
