One of the most important responsibilities I’ve always believed we have is giving back. Back to the community, to the people that need it the most, back to the causes that grip our hearts and make us want to create a better world. This belief is what lead my beautiful friend Estelle and I to host our Girls who give back event during October for the Think Pink Foundation.
The afternoon could not have been lovelier – I mean really what better way to spend Sunday than getting together amazing girl bosses, sipping on delicious Prosecco, enjoying amazing Italian food, surrounded by incredible decor from PFM Events who created beautiful custom made balloons …. all while raising money for such an important organisation.
Girls Who Give Back was held at the beautiful Cucina Bar in Brighton – and what a space. The team put together an absolutely scrumptious and delightful Italian menu. Everything from mouth-watering seafood, to prosciutto and a nutella pizza that will leave your taste-buds dancing with joy.
But even more than just the food, the staff took such amazing care of each guest, creating a space that felt like you were at home, and setting a mood that made you want to stay for hours and hours.
On arrival guests served the most amazing Prosecco from my favourite wine merchant Winebubble. Anyone who follows Coffees & style knows that I am a big supporter of this brand, and there’s a very good reason. Not only do they stock the most amazing wines from the best regions world-wide but their generosity and sense of community is undeniable.
We felt extremely humbled to have Winebubble donate Prosecco to our event, and truly shine a light on what giving back is all about.
It wouldn’t be an event without a goodie bag – and ours was filled with some amazing gifts.
The sweetest pink themed cookie from Olga’s Cakes and sweets, a delicious coffee voucher from the Almond Milk Co., a wine discount voucher from Winebubble, a styling session from the amazing Lauren the fashion Hunter to get you looking and feeling like a new woman and the ultimate #girlboss coaching session from Estelle at Project Sasha.
But more than anything else – the event showed one important thing, and that’s when we come together, we are stronger, we can help create change and we support what really matters, not just as women, but all together.
Too often these days we hear so much negativity, too often we hear people say ‘there’s no good left’ – well I’m here to say they couldn’t be more wrong. Hosting this event proved to us once again, just how much good and kindness there really is – thank you so much to everyone who attended and helped make it a success.
